Designing a new look for REHAU Hub, a permanent display of REHAU’s range of energy efficient building products.

The Challenge

REHAU Hub is a permanent display of REHAU’s range of energy efficient building products available to architects, specifiers and consultants. It provides a London base for its team of specialist commercial sales managers who support specification teams with advice on product and planning advice, training and CPD seminars, and gives the many visitors to The Building Centre an insight into the scale and resources behind the familiar REHAU brand.

However, as innovation and technology develop, so too does the need to display these advancements in an engaging, professional manner. It was time to make some changes but how could REHAU be sure that the right products and combinations were going to be displayed as effectively as possible?

The Solution

Earl & Thompson were tasked with taking a selection of REHAU’s new innovative products and to visualise a new and improved space at the London Building Centre. REHAU wanted to use the actual/physical product to create more of a ‘lifelike’ scene at the centre to enable architects and specifiers to really understand these products and why they should be using them.

Earl & Thompson first went about creating a visual guide as to how the space could look, with limited information available in these early stages of actual product sizes, it was back to the ‘drawing board’ with an initial sketch, this would enable REHAU to see instantly if using physical product could work in the space they had. From here we were able to see how the walls would flow together and how the products would interconnect with each other to get a real feel of how these products work in conjunction with one another. It was an instant hit with the REHAU team, so the next step was to get actual measurements of the products and consider how each products features and benefits could be showcased. A combination of illustrative work and information plaques the job was complete and was very well received by the REHAU team…over to the printers and the installation team to really bring the visual to life at the Centre.

The Outcome

21st August was the big install day. It went like clock-work, everything worked together and flowed nicely and the end result is clean, clear and showcases Rehau’s new products with real punch. Rehau have had fantastic feedback already - a good job well done!
