As experts in ventilation solutions, Nuaire were aware that many housing tenants were reluctant to open windows in their rented properties, as the perception was that they would lose heat. Properties were then often exposed to excessive levels of moisture from every day activities such as cooking, drying clothes as well as showering/bathing. In order to combat this, rental properties are often fitted with extraction/ventilation fans however this was often a problem for Local Authorities. With so many different types of fans installed in properties, fitting and maintenance became a real issue, from stocking a wide variety of spares to a wide technical knowledge of fitting and maintaining. Nuaire’s solution was to develop one fan which could be used throughout the home, tough enough for bathrooms and kitchen and quiet enough for everyday use. Cyfan was born.
Having previously worked with the marketing contact at a previous company, we were invited to present our strategy to launch Cyfan. Our research led us to the concept of ‘One Visit, One Fan’ and we set about creating a vibrant creative identity for the supporting collateral.
Working closely with both marketing and product teams at Nuaire, we built a microsite as the central information hub, with a supporting doodle animation to help explain the unique product features and benefits. A targeted email campaign was initiated, followed up with leaflets and print advertising.
Initially planned to target Local Authorities, the one fan product was then further expanded out to Housing Associations and Landlords, with the message ‘making your tenant a number one fan’. With product sales continuing to grow, this innovative fan is proving a real hit!
