In an age where everything seems to be digital, the sourcing and management of files becomes increasingly broad and potentially difficult with digital versions of documents, photographs, artwork or presentations being dispatched to colleagues, agencies, customers and printers.

This seems to be a problem faced by an increasing number of clients and has led to our development of the Earl & Thompson Asset Centre. A central portal for digital files, the asset centre allows users to upload, search, tag, email and download digital files, yet control their integrity by being monitored and managed through one central location accessible by predefined user groups.

Complete with automatic file sizing on upload, the asset centre allows users to upload and multi tag any image so it can be reviewed, given extra tags if required and then grouped with other tagged files to become searchable. For speed and ease of use, each user can save a collection of favourite or frequently used images. The success of the asset centre has encouraged us to take it to the next level - ongoing development and enhancement is shaped by user feedback, such as training sessions for all users and producing a user manual. Several clients have shown an interest in having an asset centre for simple access to resources – as users ourselves we only wish we’d thought of it earlier!
